Abstract

CéLULAS TRONCO DO TIPO EMBRIÈNICO PLURIPOTENTES DERIVADAS DO LIMBUS DA CóRNEA, MéTODOS DE ISOLAMENTO E USOS DAS MESMAS, mais precisamente a presente invenção apresenta células tronco do tipo embriónico (ELSCs) pluripotentes de um mamífero isoladas de tecidos límbico de córnea, um tecido não embriónico, onde as ELSCs têm a capacidade de proliferar em uma cultura in vitro, mantêm o potencial para se diferenciar em células da linhagem de endoderme, mesoderme, e ectoderme em cultura, e têm a capacidade de formar corpos do tipo embrióide quando colocadas em cultura em suspensão e, desse modo, essas célula possuem o potencial de diferenciação de múltiplas linhagens e capacidade de se auto-renovarem, sendo que as ditas ELSCs podem ser uma ferramenta terapêutica promissora, e podem fornecer novas alternativas terapêuticas para várias doenças, condições e ferimentos.
