Abstract

"PROCESSOS PARA A PRODUçãO DE UM ALQUILBENZENO E PARA A PRODUçãO DE CUMENO". Um processo para a produção de um alquilbenzeno a partir de um álcool alquilfenílico que compreende as etapas de: (a) a alimentação de uma corrente de alimentação que compreende alquilfenila a um reator que tem uma zona destilação catalítica e, (b) concorrentemente no reator (i) o contato da corrente de alimentação que compreende o álcool alquilfenílico com hidrogênio na zona destilação catalítica para converter o álcool alquilfenílico em alquilbenzeno sobre um catalisador que compreende um metal do Grupo VIII ou um metal do Grupo IB; e, (ii) a separação do alquilbenzeno da mistura da reação por destilação fracionada para produzir uma corrente de topo que compreende alquilbenzeno que tem uma concentração de álcool alquilfenílico menor do que a da corrente de alimentação proveniente do reator de coluna de destilação. Exemplos do álcool alquilfenílico incluem álcool cumílico, álcool fenil etílico ou di-(2-hidroxil 2-propil) benzeno e aqueles para o alquilbenzeno incluem cumeno e dietil benzeno ou di-(2-hidroxil 2-propil) benzeno.
