Abstract

"PROPULSOR DE NAVE ESPACIAL E PROCESSO PARA A GERAçãO DE IMPULSãO". Um propulsor tem uma câmara (6) definida dentro de um tubo (2). O tubo tem um eixo geométrico longitudinal que define um eixo (4) de impulsão; um injetor (8) injeta um gás ionizável dentro do tubo, em uma extremidade da câmara. Um gerador de campo magnético com duas bobinas (12, 14) gera um campo magnético paralelo ao eixo geométrico; o campo magnético tem dois valores máximos ao longo do eixo geométrico (4); um gerador de campo eletromagnético tem uma primeira cavidade ressonante (16) entre as duas bobinas que gera um campo de ionização de microondas à ressonância do ciclotron de elétrons na câmara (6), entre os dois valores máximos do campo magnético. O gerador de campo eletromagnético tem uma segunda cavidade ressonante (18) no outro lado da segunda bobina (14). A segunda cavidade ressonante (18) gera um campo de aceleração ponderomotiva que acelera o gás ionizado. O propulsor ioniza o gás pela ressonância do ciclotron de elétrons, e acelera subseqüentemente os elétrons e os íons pela força ponderomotiva magnetizada.
