Abstract

"áCIDOS NUCLéICOS QUE CODIFICAM AGENTES ANTELMìNTICOS, E PLANTAS PRODUZIDAS A PARTIR DELES". A presente invenção refere-se a constructos de DNA, plantas transgênicas que contêm tais constructos, e métodos para produzir as plantas. Os constructos de DNA codificam um polipeptídeo, o qual, quando expressado, resulta na produção de compostos de ácidos graxos que têm atividade antelmíntica. As plantas transgênicas que expressam tal polipeptídeo podem apresentar maior resistência a nematódeos parasíticos vegetais, particularmente quando expressado em tecidos vegetativos.
