<B>ESTRUTURA ABSORVENTE COMPOSTA, MéTODO PARA FORMAR A MESMA, E PRODUTO ABSORVENTE DESCARTáVEL<D> Uma estrutura absorvente composta e método são revelados, incluindo o fornecimento de uma primeira camada de mecha com propriedades preferidas de transporte de líquido em um contato preferido com uma segunda camada de retenção absorvente. Em um aspecto, um agente de ligação é utilizado na presente invenção em combinação com a primeira camda de mecha de fibras molháveis e uma segunda camada de retenção de um material polimérico formador de hidrogel, preferivelmente superabsorvente, para formar uma estrutura absorvente composta tendo a Proporção de Intimidade de Contato e fornecendo a função preferida de transporte de líquido e a função preferida de retenção do líquido.
