Abstract

"PROCESSO DE BAIXA DE DADOS PARA UM CONJUNTO RECEPTOR/DECODIFICADOR MPEG E UM SISTEMA DE TRANSMISSãO MPEG PARA IMPLEMENTAçãO DO MESMO". Em um sistema de televisão digital, no qual uma televisão recebe o seu sinal via conjunto receptor/decodificador, tal como uma caixa superior de posicionamento, aplicações interativas podem ser baixadas e processadas no conjunto receptor/decodificador. O código de aplicação é disposto como módulos e a baixa dos módulos é precedida por busca de um módulo de diretórios dentro de um endereço local específico. Os módulos são sinalizados e o módulo de diretórios é sinalizado e criptografado, de modo que uma única criptografação se aplica a todos os módulos que constituem a aplicação. Múltiplas chaves de criptografação públicas são armazenadas na ROM no conjunto receptor/decodificador, de modo que as aplicações podem ser criadas por diferentes fontes, sem que as fontes precisem conhecer cada uma das chaves de criptografação privadas dos outros. Um recurso é proporcionado para permitir que uma chave de criptografação seja temporariamente armazenada na RAM no conjunto receptor/decodificador, de modo que um fabricante do conjunto receptor/decodificador pode testar a sua funcionalidade.
