Abstract

Trata-se de um aparelho para criar rebanhos que inclui um ou mais currais de confinamento junto a corredores para transferir os animais de uma localização para a outra. O aparelho inclui uma ou mais câmeras para capturar imagens de todos os animais na área de confinamento. É proposto um processador para analisar as imagens, o processador sendo configurado para alocar uma identificação arbitrária a cada animal e para acompanhar todos os animais continuamente para manter a alocação. Com base nesse acompanhamento, vários dados referentes a animais individuais ou aos animais como um grupo podem ser obtidos para avaliar suas características e para prover a um trabalhador uma indicação do animal a ser extraído. O processador pode ser configurado para detectar, por análise da imagem, a quantidade de ração e/ou água em um alimentador e para capturar imagens do curral de gestação, que inclui a área de confinamento da porca e ao menos uma área de confinamento dos leitões.
