Abstract

REPRODUÇÃO POR CRUZAMENTO AMPLO. A presente invenção refere-se a genes encontrados em espécies selvagens que podem fornecer traços benéficos a culturas domésticas. Por exemplo, espécies de Glycine selvagens podem fornecer resistência a um amplo espectro de populações de ferrugem da soja se introgredidas na soja. Anteriormente, a introgressão bem-sucedida exigia polinizações cruzadas amplas, resgate de embriões e regeneração de brotos F1. Além disso, a duplicação de cromossomos, que pode ser obtida por tratamento químico de embriões, era exigida para obter anfidiploides férteis (F1D). Um retrocruzamento com soja era, assim, necessário para obter a genética BC1F1. Aqui são descritos procedimentos aprimorados para cruzamentos interespecíficos entre soja e Glycine tomentella. Esses procedimentos oferecem uma via mais eficiente para a genética BC1F1 ao contornar a geração anfidiploide.
