Abstract

DISPOSITIVO ENDOTRAQUEAL PARA VENTILAÇÃO MECÂNICA DE UM PACIENTE. A presente invenção refere-se a um dispositivo endotraqueal para ventilação mecânica de um paciente (3), que compreende um tubo de ventilação (10) e uma barreira (13), em que o tubo de ventilação (10) inclui: uma parte distal, com uma extremidade distal (11), destinada a ser inserida em uma via respiratória de um paciente (3) e uma parte proximal, com uma extremidade proximal (12), destinada a ser conectada a uma máquina de ventilação. A barreira (13) é feita de material viscoelástico sólido, cobre o tubo de ventilação (10) na área distal, e é configurada para ocupar, quando inserida, a região subglótica (14), bem como a região glótica (15) e também a região supraglótica (16) da laringe (5) do paciente (3), razão pela qual a barreira (13) tem um corte transversal variável ao longo do comprimento do mesmo. O dispositivo fornece maior segurança e uma incidência inferior de complicações na ventilação mecânica de pacientes (3).
