método de processamento de dados de vídeo, aparelho para processar dados de vídeo, meio de armazenamento e meio de gravação não transitórios legíveis por computador. um método de processamento de vídeo é descrito. o método compreende: derivar, para uma conversão entre um bloco atual de um vídeo e uma representação codificada do vídeo, um bloco de predição para o bloco atual que é determinado de acordo com uma ferramenta de ponderação de nível de unidade de codificação bidirecional (bcw) na qual ponderadas são usadas para determinar uma soma ponderada de dois blocos de predição iniciais usados para determinar o bloco de predição; e desempenhar a conversão usando o bloco de predição; em que a derivação do bloco de predição compreende: aplicar as ponderadas a duas amostras de predição intermediárias que pertencem respectivamente aos dois blocos de predição iniciais para derivar uma amostra de predição final; e desempenhar uma operação de desvio à direita para a amostra de predição final para converter uma profundidade de bit da amostra de predição final, em que a operação de deslocamento à direita é pbsample>> (shift1+3) ), em que pbsample representa a amostra de predição final, shift1 é preparado como igual a max(2, 14-bitdepth); e determinar o bloco de predição com base na amostra de predição final.
