Abstract
SUPEREXPRESSÃO DE ADH5P PARA PRODUÇÃO DE ETANOL AUMENTADA POR LEVEDURA. A presente invenção refere-se a composições e métodos que se relacionam à levedura modificada que superexpressa Adh5p e abriga uma trajetória de fosfocetolase heteróloga. A levedura demonstra produção de etanol aumentada a partir de glicose em comparação com células parentais. Tal levedura é particularmente útil para produção de etanol em larga escala a partir de substratos de amido.OVEREXPRESSION OF ADH5P FOR YEAST INCREASE ETHANOL PRODUCTION. The present invention relates to compositions and methods that relate to modified yeast that overexpress Adh5p and harbor a heterologous phosphoketolase pathway. Yeast demonstrates increased ethanol production from glucose compared to parental cells. Such yeast is particularly useful for large scale production of ethanol from starch substrates.
