proteínas inseticidas. são divulgadas composições e métodos para controlar pragas de insetos. em particular, são proporcionadas novas proteínas inseticidas tendo toxicidade para, pelo menos, pragas de insetos de coleópteros. são também proporcionadas moléculas de ácido nucleico codificando as novas proteínas inseticidas. métodos de produção das proteínas inseticidas e métodos de uso das proteínas inseticidas e ácidos nucleicos que codificam as proteínas inseticidas da presente invenção, por exemplo, em plantas transgênicas para conferir proteção contra danos causados por insetos, são também divulgados.
