Abstract

a invenção aqui reivindicada apresenta açúcares específicos e uma lectina que bloqueiam a aderência do streptococcus ao epitélio intestinal da tilápia de cultivo. a invenção tem potencial uso médico e industrial para prevenir a estreptococose em peixes, pois o streptococcus agalactiae - específico e - associado aos peixes tem formas metabólicas próprias de usar os açúcares aqui descritos e compartilham essas formas com outros streptococcus que afetam peixes, como s. iniae e s. ictaluri.
