Abstract

MÉTODO PARA REMOVER SULFATO DE ÁGUA RESIDUAL. A invenção refere-se a um método e dispositivo para remoção de sulfato, cálcio e outros metais solúveis de água residual, em que NaOH e Al(OH)3 são colocados em contato para preparar aluminato de sódio, a uma temperatura de pelo menos 60°C e com uma proporção molar de NaOH:Al(OH)3 de pelo menos 1,0, em que a água residual é contatada com o aluminato de sódio obtido e com um primeiro composto de cálcio para produção de uma lama contendo etringita, em que uma separação do tipo sólido-líquido é executada com a lama contendo etringita para separar os sólidos do líquido, desse modo, produzindo uma primeira solução, a primeira solução sendo então contatada com um agente de carbonatação para neutralizar a primeira solução e precipitar o cálcio contido na primeira solução na forma de carbonato de cálcio, e em que uma adicional separação do tipo sólido-líquido é realizada para separar o precipitado de carbonato de cálcio da primeira solução, a fim de se obter uma água tendo um reduzido teor de sulfato, cálcio e outros metais solúveis.
