Abstract

resumo da patente de invenção para: “método e aparelho para evitar o congestionamento da rede”. as redes de centros de dados acomodam normalmente aplicações e pesquisa web que mostram inerentemente os padrões de comunicação do colapso do tráfego; múltiplos servidores transmitem simultaneamente os dados tcp a um único agregador. neste ambiente, o desempenho tcp é significativamente degradado em termos de débito e tempo de conclusão da consulta, como resultado da grave perda de pacotes nos interruptores top of rack (tor). os transmissores tcp transmitem agressivamente pacotes, causando um colapso no tráfego, apesar de o tamanho do canal da rede, isto é, o produto de atraso da largura de banda, ser extremamente pequeno. a presente invenção introduz um novo algoritmo de controle do congestionamento end-to-end que evita o problema do congestionamento do tráfego tcp. enquanto as técnicas anteriores focam sobretudo os algoritmos de controle com base na janela, a presente invenção emprega o controle com base na velocidade de transmissão para garantir que o número total de pacotes pendentes não exceda o tamanho do canal da rede. além disso, as simulações validam que o algoritmo ia-tcp seja escalonável em termos do número de transmissores que obtêm um melhor débito e zero tempos esgotados.
