resumo dispositivo para tratamento de pelos e método para detectar um pelo próximo a uma superfície da pele a invenção provê um dispositivo para tratamento de pelos (40) compreendendo um detector à base de luz (10) para detectar um pelo (22) próximo a uma superfície da pele (21) e um método para detectar um pelo (22) próximo a uma superfície da pele (21). o detector (10) compreende uma fonte de luz (11), elementos ópticos (14, 16, 17, 18) e um sensor de luz sensível à polarização (12, 13). a fonte de luz (11) gera um feixe de luz (31) e os elementos ópticos (14, 16, 17, 18) focam o feixe de luz (31) em um pelo (22) próximo da superfície da pele (21). o sensor de luz sensível à polarização (12, 13) é provido para detectar a luz interagida com os pelos (22) ou com a superfície da pele (21) e tendo uma polarização linear predefinida. a fonte de luz (11) e/ou os elementos ópticos (14, 16, 17, 18) são dispostos para fazer com que o feixe de luz (31), ao atingir a superfície da pele (21), tenha uma direção de polarização invariável no tempo e variável espacialmente em seções transversais do feixe de luz. 1/1
