resumo patente de invenção: "pilha a combustível de injeção múltipla e processo de funcionamento da mesma". a presente invenção refere-se às pilhas a combustível, e, em particular, as pilhas a hidrogênio, constituídas de pelo menos um empilha-mento de células. divide-se a pilha em pelo menos dois grupos de células que podem ser alimentadas separadamente em hidrogênio. em uma primeira fase, alimenta-se somente o primeiro grupo de células (ga) e não o segundo (gb); o hidrogênio não consumido pode, todavia, circular entre os dois grupos por intermédio de pelo menos um coletor de evacuação (evan) ligado às células dos dois grupos. em uma segunda fase, invertem-se as alimentações dos dois grupos, o hidrogênio não consumido podendo ainda circular entre os dois grupos por intermédio do coletor de evacuação. em uma terceira fase, após uma série de alternâncias das duas primeiras fases, os dois grupos são inicialmente alimentados simultaneamente, depois uma válvula de purificação (vp) do coletor de evacuação é aberta, depois fechada.
