ferramenta de corte para fresamento frontal de material compósito, correspondente metodo de fresamento frontal, pastilha de corte e corpo de ferramenta. a presente invenção se refere a uma ferramenta de corte para fresamento frontal de uma peça de trabalho (20) ompreendendo receptáculos de pastilha (62, 64, 66, 68) para a fixação de pastilhas de corte (32, 34, 36, 38); pastilhas de corte (32, 34, 36, 38) que têm capacidade para serem fixadas nos receptáculos de pastilha (62, 64, 66, 68). em concordância com a presente invenção, as pastilhas de corte (32, 34, 36, 38) e os receptáculos de pastilha (62, 64, 66, 68) são projetada/os de maneira tal que, quando as pastilhas de corte (32, 34, 36, 38) são fixadas dentro do correspondente receptáculo de pastilha (62, 64, 66, 68), cada pastilha de corte (32, 34, 36, 38) apresenta: uma borda de corte primária (40) para usinagem radial da peça de trabalho (20); uma borda de corte secundária (44) associada com a borda de corte primária (40), a borda de corte secundária (44) sendo uma borda de limpeza para usinagem axial da peça de trabalho (20); a interseção (42) entre a borda de corte primária (40) e a borda de corte secundária (44) da segunda pastilha de corte (34; 36; 38) sendo axialmente internamente e radialmente externamente deslocada [offset] (compensada) a partir da interseção (42) entre a borda de corte primária (40) e a borda de corte secundária (44) da primeira pastilha de corte (32; 34; 36); e um ângulo de condução (kr) de cada uma das pastilhas de corte (32, 34, 36, 38) definido entre as bordas de corte primária e secundária (40, 44) sendo menor do que 300.
