Processos e composições úteis para tratamentos de formação subterrânea, tais como tratamentos de fratura hidráulica e controle de areia que incluem materiais porosos. Tais materiais porosos também podem ser partículas de material poroso particulado configurado seletivamente e/ou tratados com materiais de vitrificação selecionados, materiais de revestimento e/ou materiais penetrantes para ter resistência e/ou densidade aparente desejadas para se adaptar a condições buraco abaixo em particular para tratamento do poço tais como tratamentos de fratura hidráulica e tratamentos de controle de areia.
