"MéTODO DE AUMENTO DO NìVEL DE 4-DESMETIL ESTERóIS E MéTODO DE TRANSFORMAçãO DE PLANTA". Método de aumento do nível de 4-desmotil esteróis em plantas, que compreende o aumento da desmetilação enzimática de 4-monometil e 4,4-dimetil esteróis. A desmetilação enzimática pode ser efetuada através do uso de um gene que expressa uma C4 esterol metil oxidase (C4SMO)."METHOD OF INCREASING 4-DESMETIL STEROLE LEVEL AND PLANT TRANSFORMATION METHOD". A method of increasing the level of 4-desmotyl sterols in plants, comprising increasing enzymatic demethylation of 4-monomethyl and 4,4-dimethyl sterols. Enzymatic demethylation can be performed using a gene that expresses a C4 sterol methyl oxidase (C4SMO).
