Abstract

"SECAGEM DE ARTIGOS CERâMICOS DURANTE MANUFATURA". Um processo de formação de um material ou corpo cerâmico compreende as etapas de: i) proporcionar uma mistura de matérias-primas contendo água; ii) conformar a dita mistura em uma forma; iii) remover água da dita forma; e iv) queimar a dita forma a uma temperatura suficiente para promover sinterização e/ou reação das matérias-primas e, desse modo, formar um material ou corpo cerâmico, em que as matérias-primas incluem um material polimérico higroscópico, capaz de reter água na mistura por uma gama de temperaturas acima do ponto de ebulição da água. O material polimérico higroscópico pode ser um denominado superabsorvente, e as matérias-primas podem compreender carboneto de silício, grafite, açúcar e amido.
