Abstract

"PáRA-QUEDAS EM FORMA DE CRUZ COM BRAçOS ANEXADOS". Um pára-quedas em forma de cruz ou transversal é formado anexando-se as bordas adjacentes dos braços laterais (14, 16, 18, 20) a cada outra para formar um toldo tridimensional (10), quando inflado, o qual é substancialmente quadrado no topo e substancialmente redondo na borda inferior. A ligação das bordas adjacentes dos braços é tal como para prover aberturas ou suspiros geralmente verticais (36) através dos quais o ar pode fluir para fora da parte inferior do toldo, os quais formam "jatos de fluxo de ar no canto", por conseguinte, permitindo o uso de pano de porosidade zero ou próximo de zero para a construção de toldo. A ligação das bordas adjacentes dos braços nas suas pontas externas forma uma bainha contínua na borda inferior do toldo a qual facilita o empacotamento e aperfeiçoa a confiabilidade. Os jatos de fluxo de ar de braço da patente U.S. 5.839.695 podem também ser incluídos além dos jatos de fluxo de ar no canto formados anexando-se as bordas laterais de braços adjacentes.
