Abstract

"BOMBA PARA SUPRIR COMBUSTìVEL EM ALTA PRESSãO DE UM TANQUE DE COMBUSTìVEL PARA UM MOTOR". Uma bomba, para suprir combustível em alta pressão de um tanque de combustível para um motor via um trilho comum, inclui uma montagem de motor (20) montada sobre o topo do tanque de combustível, uma montagem de bomba (26) posicionada dentro do tanque de combustível, e uma coluna de suporte (32) conectado rotativamente a montagem de motor à montagem de bomba. Uma sub-montagem de bomba de alta pressão (46) inclui um corpo de bomba (48) tendo um furo de acionamento (50) e múltiplos furos de êmbolo (60) formados no mesmo. O perfil externo de um membro de acionamento (58) que é girável dentro do furo de acionamento encaixa a extremidade radialmente interna dos êmbolos de bombeamento (62) dispostos em cada um dos furos de êmbolo por uma porção de cada revolução para, reciprocamente, mover os êmbolos entre posições limite radialmente interna e externa. O alternância em direção à posição limite interna induz uma baixa pressão na extremidade radialmente externa do furo de êmbolo, puxando, desse modo, combustível via o furo de acionamento sem a ajuda de uma bomba de baixa pressão.
