Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A RAMIFICAçãO DE áCIDOS GRAXOS SATURADOS E/OU INSATURADOS E/OU SEUS ALQUIL éSTERES". Um processo para a ramificação de ácidos graxos saturados e/ou insaturados e/ou seus alquil ésteres compreender submeter os ácidos graxos e/ou alquil ésteres a uma reação de isomerização de esqueleto usando um catalisador compreendendo uma estrutura porosa cristalina tendo ali incorporado um metal para formar sítios de metal sobre o dito catalisador e isolando ácidos graxos ramificados, seus alquil ésteres, ou misturas dos mesmos, a partir de uma mistura de reação obtida através da dita reação de isomerização de esqueleto. O catalisador usado na reação de isomerização é preferivelmente um catalisador zeólito contendo sítios de metal de um metal do Grupo VIII. O processo produz uma mistura de ácidos graxos e/ou alquil ésteres que contêm quantidades significantes de moléculas ramificadas.
