Abstract
"SISTEMAS E MéTODOS DE MONITORAMENTO E RASTREAMENTO". A presente invenção refere-se, de forma geral, a sistemas, métodos e aplicativos que utilizam a convergência de qualquer combinação das três tecnologias a seguir: tecnologia de localização ou posicionamento sem fio, tecnologia de comunicação sem fio e tecnologia de sensores. Particularmente, certas realizações da presente invenção referem-se a um dispositivo remoto que inclui um sensor para determinar ou medir um parâmetro desejado, um receptor para receber dados de posicionamento do sistema de satélites Sistema de Posicionamento Global (GPS), um processador para determinar se condições de alerta estão ou não presentes e um transceptor sem fio para transmitir os dados de parâmetros medidos e os dados de posicionamento para uma estação central, tal como um provedor de serviços de aplicativos (ASP). O ASP, por sua vez, pode comunicar os dados medidos, dados de posicionamento e notificação de qualquer alerta a um usuário final através de um dispositivo de alerta. The present invention relates, in general, to systems, methods and applications that use the convergence of any combination of the following three technologies: wireless location or positioning technology, wireless communication technology and sensor technology. In particular, certain embodiments of the present invention relate to a remote device that includes a sensor for determining or measuring a desired parameter, a receiver for receiving positioning data from the Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite system, a processor for determining whether alert conditions are present or not and a wireless transceiver to transmit measured parameter data and positioning data to a central station, such as an application service provider (ASP). The ASP, in turn, can communicate the measured data, positioning data and notification of any alert to an end user through an alert device. The present invention also relates to several applications and systems that use the capabilities of that device.
