Abstract

Uma lente intraocular (20) fixada na íris para implante na câmara anterior do olho compreende um dispositivo (50) tendo um eixo ótico e lados anterior e posterior; e primeiro e segundo membros de fixação (52), tendo cada um dos membros de fixação uma região extrema próxima e uma região extrema distal. A região extrema próxima de cada membro de fixação e uma banda flexível única fixada numa região extrema do dispositivo de maneira a prolongar-se geralmente de modo tangencial para fora do mesmo. A região extrema distal é formada numa alça, tendo nela definida, pelo menos, uma estreita abertura de tenaz de íris para fixação destacável da lente intraocular na superfície anterior da íris. O primeiro e segundo membros de fixação são substancialmente idênticos um ao outro e são fixados no dispositivo em lados opostos do eixo ótico. O dispositivo é, preferencialmente, montado a partir de um material plástico elasticamente deformável, tal como silicone, ou acrílico, de forma que a lente intraocular de três peças resultante pode ser dobrada ou deformada de outro modo para implante no olho através de uma pequena incisão cirúrgica, de preferência, não suturada. An iris-attached intraocular lens (20) for implantation in the anterior chamber of the eye comprises a device (50) having an optical axis and anterior and posterior sides; and first and second attachment members (52), each attachment member having a proximal end region and a distal end region. The extreme region proximal to each fastening member is a single flexible band fixed to an extreme region of the device so as to extend tangentially generally beyond it.
