Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "SELETIVAçãO DE CATALISADOR". Foi descoberto que catalisadores podem ser modificados por depósito de um derivado de agente de um agente tal como um composto organometálico sobre eles. Uma tal modificação mostra um catalisador útil em seletividade aumentada para benzenos de alquila para-substituídos,tal como para-xileno (PX), por meio da reação de um composto aromático tal como tolueno e/ou benzeno com um agente de metilação de hidrogênio e monóxido de carbono e/ou dióxido de carbono e/ou metanol. Empregando-se aqueles catalisadores seletivados, benzenos de alquila para-substituídos podem ser recuperados em uma seletividade de 80% ou maior, significantemente melhor que a concentração de equilíbrio de 24%.
