Abstract

"REVESTIMENTO COMPóSITO". Presente invenção fornece um revestimento compósito multicomponente que inclui: (a) um revestimento elastomérico de base formado a partir de uma composição de revestimento de base curável depositada sobre a superfície de um substrato; e (b) um revestimento de topo aplicado sobre o revestimento da base, o revestimento do topo sendo diferente do revestimento da base e sendo formado a partir de uma composição de revestimento do topo curável compreendendo um material politioéter. O revestimento do topo pode possuir uma resistência a tração e um percentual de alongamento superiores ao do revestimento elastomérico da base de forma que, quando o revestimento compósito é deformado, o revestimento da base pode fraturar antes do revestimento do topo permitindo que o revestimento do topo deforme-se, posteriormente, ainda mantendo a integridade do revestimento do topo. O revestimento compósito é apropriado para inibir o vazamento de um tanque de armazenamento de combustivel de uma aeronave.
