Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAçãO DE SAIS DE áCIDOS CARBOXìLICOS A PARTIR DE ALCOóIS PRIMáRIOS". A presente invenção proporciona um aperfeiçoamento novo e útil no processo para produção de um sal de ácido carboxílico, particularmente um sal de ácido aminocarboxílico, a partir de um álcool primário, particularmente um aminoálcool primário. O processo de produção de sais de ácidos aminocarboxílicos compreende contactar uma solução aquosa de um aminoálcool primário com uma base forte de hidróxido selecionada do grupo que consiste em um hidróxido de metal alcalino, um hidróxido de metal alcalino-terroso, um composto de hidróxido de amónio, incluindo um hidróxido de tetraalquil amónio, ou similar, na presença de uma quantidade eficaz de um catalisador. O catalisador compreende um ou mais de elementos selecionados do grupo que consiste em cobre, cobalto, níquel e cádmio, bem como opcionalmente quantidades menores de cromo, titânio, nióbio, tântalo, zircónio, vanádio, molibdênio, manganês, tungstênio, cobalto, níquel ou misturas dos mesmos. A mistura reacional contém menos de cerca de 3.000 ppm, preferencialmente menos de cerca de 500 ppm, mais preferencialmente menos de cerca de 100 ppm de cobre oxidado (Cu^ +^ e/ou Cu^ 2+^) durante a reação.
