Abstract

Sistema que suporta comunicação de áudio, vídeo, dados e fax entre um computador pessoal fonte e um dispositivo de comunicação de áudio, tal como um telefone ou um computador pessoal de destino. O sistema proporciona comunicação primeiramente com um nó de entrada, o qual seleciona um servidor intermediário. O servidor intermediário selecionado seleciona um interface entre redes ITSP, por exemplo, que fornece acesso ao dispositivo de comunicação de áudio. O servidor intermediário selecionado inicia comunicação de vídeo e voz utilizando, por exemplo, o padrão H.323, o a interface entre redes ITSP. O servidor intermediário selecionado então informa ao computador pessoal fonte para se comunicar diretamente com a interface entre redes ITSP.
