Umprocesso para embutir dados suplementares em um sinal codificadoque é diferente do formato usado para codificar dados do sinalcodificado e gravar dito sinal em um portador de gravação emforma de disco aplicando marcas de um primeiro tipo físico. Osdados suplementares são codificados conforme um segundoformato que é diferente do formato usado para codificar dados dosinal codificado. Informação de descrição de formato relacionadaao segundo formato é gravada no portador de gravação tanto commarcas do mesmo tipo físico mas moduladas de acordo com umasegunda modulação diferente ou com marcas de um segundo tipoque têm características físicas diferentes com respeito ao primeirotipo.
