Abstract

<B>COMPENSADOR DE FOLGA PARA SAPATAS DE FREIO DE TAMBOR PARA VEìCULO A MOTOR<D> Num compensador de folga, uma haste (12) é fixada a uma das sapatas do freio e fica na condição corrediça num elemento intermediário (13) engatado por rosca em outra haste (11), presa à outra sapata. Uma tira bimetálica sensível ao calor (18) se projeta de uma mola em lâmina (14), operável para forçar a haste (12) a se afastar do elemento intermediário (13). A tira bimetálica (18) é orientada num sentido substancialmente tangencial de uma roda de catraca (17), fixada ao elemento intermediário (13); em sua extremidade livre, esta tira bimetálica (18) tem um elemento de parada (18a) para engate com a roda de catraca (17). Nas temperaturas acima de um valor predeterminado, a tira (18) assume uma condição defletida por indução de calor, na qual o elemento de parada (18a) é desengatado da roda (17).
