BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Thobramycin is a semi-synthetic broad-spectrum antibiotic with a bactericidal action and a gentamicin-like antibiotic spectrum. The antibiotic is active against the most common pathogens in ophthalmology - S.aureus, S.epidermidis, E.coly, Proteus, Moraxella liquefaciens and P. eureginosa. Topically administered topically, tobramycin is highly effective in bacterial eye infections.
