Abstract

In a connector, into whose housing (2) elongated contacts (3) are inserted, to whose connecting end (12) it is intended to fit a connecting cable, at least one stop shoulder (20) is constructed in each case on the contacts. The housing (2) is divided at right angles to the insertion direction and has a frame into which the contacts are pushed until they come to rest on the stop shoulder (20). Furthermore, the housing (2) has cover halves (10, 11) which are each hinged on the frame via a cover hinge and can be closed. In the closed state, the cover hinges press by means of a pressure lug against the side of the stop shoulder (20) facing away from the frame in order in this way to hold the contacts (3) in the housing. <IMAGE>
