Abstract

The grapes separator is used in wine making, in particular in the primary treatment of grapes, for removing the grapes from the bunches, the grapes being washed in advance in the housing in order to avoid the penetration of injurious admixtures in the grapes pulp produced, after which the grapes are separated and the grains are crushed. The design of the machine is lightweight, compact, functional, and has high degree of maintainability. The remote control and adjustment of the operating members enables the direct observation of the process, as for the quality separation for the different grapes varieties there is a need for the adjustment of the revolutions of the machine. It includes a device for removing the bunches from the grape grains, comprising a housing (3) including a cylindrical horizontal drum (2) having holes along its circumference, and coaxially to it - a grapes separation shaft (5) with radial (6) and feeding fins (7). A hopper (8) is fitted sidewise to one of the ends of the housing, and on its other end the driving mechanism of drum (2) and shaft (5) is fitted. On the front and the rear walls of housing (3) there are covers (4), and on its lower wall (3) a crusher (10) is fitted by a pivotal mechanism. The crusher has a control board. Covers (4) of the front and rear walls of the housing (3) are in two parts and are fitted to it in a mobile way. They have the facility of opening and closing by means of a lever mechanism (55) In the housing (3), above the cylindrical drum (2) for preliminary washing of the grapes, a horizontal square tube (54) is mounted, fixed to the internal walls of housing (3), and along the surrounding walls of which holes (56) have been fabricated in the form of partial lateral slits, for injecting water above drum (2), the interior of which is filled with grapes.
