Le galet universel qui par lui-meme ne convient que pour des charges radiales peut aussi etre utilisé dans des applications présentant des charges radiales et axiales. Le galet (3A, 3B) est concu pour absorber une charge axiale par adjonction, à l'axe de l'arbre, d'une première (110) et d'une seconde (112) rondelle qui répartissent les forces axiales à travers le bandage élastique (64) et le moyeu (66, 68, 70) du galet sans nuire au roulement à billes qui ne comprend qu'une couronne circonférentielle de billes (54).
