Abstract
The emergency ladder is partic. intended for a high-rise building and may supplement existing internal emergency stairways which may become unusable through smoke in the event of fire. The ladder uses the balcony railings whose uprights form the rungs. On each floor, the balcony railing has a portion which is rotatable into vertical position about a horizontal pivot after uncoupling from the fixed railing portion. In vertical position, railings of successive floors can be intercoupled to form a continuous ladder. The couplings are locked by keys held in cabinets with glass front panels arranged above reaching height of children and provided with alarms against unauthorised use.FL.
Description

Het principe van draaibare balkonrelingen is zeer eenvoudig;

"EMERGENCY STAIR FOR MAIN BUILDING"
Description of the invention.
Object of the invention: with this invention, all persons can individually leave a burning building, even if the lift and the normal fire escape have become unusable, either by
lack of electrical power, either due to smoke barrier.
So it is a huge safety tool, simple too
use; which will provide reassurance to high-rise residents.
Materials: Can be made from all ferrer-
and non ferrous metals, possibly also made of strong plastics.

conceivable, especially since we are dealing with 2 main systems here, which can complement each other in a building.
<EMI ID = 2.1>
The principle of rotatable balcony railings is very simple;
With a small modification of an existing balcony railing we can make strong ladders; to quickly leave the building in the event of a fire by simply turning the railing and in this way
ladders.

On this. way it is possible to form long ladders,
