<EMI ID=1.1>
<EMI ID=2.1>
<EMI ID=3.1>
bepalen.
<EMI ID=4.1>
afgeleid.
<EMI ID=5.1>
"voorzijde" dunner is.
of de bedrijfvloer Door he t "wr i jven" van di t onderdeel tegen
<EMI ID=6.1>
"Hydraulic loading bridge for transport trucks and the like." The invention relates to a mechanism for a hydraulic loading bridge for transport wagons and the like, wherein
a loading platform can be moved up and down from a vertical position to a horizontal position, or vice versa, by means of two lifting arms and hydraulic cylinders hinged relative to the frame of the transport trolley
and can be adjusted to any height from the ground.
Loading platforms that can be adjusted to different positions with respect to a truck and for this purpose can be placed vertically behind the rear wall of the truck or can be moved under the truck in rice bar are known.
Different loading platforms of the intended type present significant drawbacks. One of these drawbacks is the fact that the loading platform is sometimes "tipped off" when the platform itself is being lowered.
In addition, it is an object of the invention to provide various technical solutions that make this mechanism extremely reliable and to significantly reduce the wear of certain parts, including from the bottom of the loading platform, when it comes into contact with the floor or with the loading surface.
Another advantage of the mechanism according to the invention is to be seen in the fact that the entire loading bridge has an extremely short installation, so that the construction can be placed on almost all wagons.
Another advantage associated with the foregoing is the limited overall installation height, which makes it possible to install the loading ramp with the mechanism according to the invention on all trucks, however low the floor of these cars may be.
A further advantage is the fact that the loading bridge according to the invention can be used on any type of truck
<EMI ID = 1.1>
and whatever the distance from the bottom of the chassis to
the top of the vehicle's loading platform.
A final and very important advantage is that
no wear on the loading platform itself, mainly on
the bottom of this can occur when it comes into contact with the ground or company floor.
In order to achieve these different objectives according to the invention, the mechanism according to the invention comprises, on either side of the chassis of the transport trolley, a cross beam attached to or movable along its longitudinal axis, a housing in which a rocking piece is mounted which supports can rotate relative to this housing and on which one end of the above-mentioned lifting arm and one end of the above-mentioned lifting cylinder are hinged, which lifting cylinder is hinged with its other end on a projection of the above-mentioned lifting arm, which is located along the other side of the longitudinal axis of said lifting arm relative to its pivot point on the above-mentioned loading platform, while a hydraulic closing cylinder is mounted between the above-mentioned loading platform and the above-mentioned housing, the hydraulic circuit of which
completely separated from that of the lifting cylinder referred to above.
A curious feature of the invention consists in that the geometric axis of the above-mentioned locking cylinder and the line connecting the pivot point of the above-mentioned lifting arm on the above-mentioned lifting platform on the one hand to the pivot point of the same lifting arm on the said swing piece on the other, define two sides of an imaginary deformable parallelogram.
Furthermore, the loading platform according to the invention or, when the loading platform itself can be folded in two parts, the part of this platform which is lowered towards the truck in the lowered position, has a curve intended at the bottom and viewed in vertical section. with the ground
or to come into contact with the company floor.
Other details and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description of a hydraulic loading bridge mechanism for transport trucks and the like. according to the invention.
This description is given by way of example only and does not limit the invention. The reference numbers refer to the attached figures.
Figure 1 is a perspective representation of the mechanism of the invention. Figure 2 is a schematic representation of the mechanism with a horizontally positioned loading platform. Figure 3 is also a schematic representation of the mechanism in the position where the loading platform, ground or company floor touches. Figure 4 is a schematic representation of the mechanism in the position in which the loading platform is positioned with its upper loading surface in the position relative to the ground or the company floor. Figure 5 shows, in the form of an extraction drawing, some main elements of the mechanism according to the invention.
The mechanism according to these figures comprises a cross beam 1 which is either fixedly connected to the longitudinal beam 2 of the chassis 3 of the truck or which is longitudinally mounted with respect to this chassis as will be apparent from the further description of the mechanism.
A housing 4, each consisting of two side plates 5 and 6, a rear wall plate 7 and a cover plate 8, is welded to each end of the cross beam 1.
In each of the housings 4 is between the side plates
6 and a knee piece 9 welded to the rear wall plate 7, a rocking piece 10 mounted around a shaft 11 rotating. Referring to Figure 5, the axis 11 and the openings 12, 13 and 14 are to be aligned so that the revolving axis of the rocker 10 is the geometric axis of these three openings.
The swing piece 10 further has two openings,
15 and 16. The shaft 17 is fixed in the opening 15. The lifting arm 18 pivots about this axis 17. The fixed axis 17 is thus the pivoting axis of the lifting arm 18.
In the opening 16 is an end of a lifting cylinder
20 with its pivot shaft 21 mounted. This pivot axis 21 continues through an opening 22 in the elbow 23 welded to the lower end of the swing piece 10 (fig. 5).
The end of the lifting arm 18 remote from the truck is double-branched. The top branch 24 carries a cylindrical bearing 25 for the pivot connection to the loading platform 26, the bottom branch 27 has openings 28 for the pivot shaft 29 of one end of the aforementioned lifting cylinder 20.
An end of the locking cylinder 30 then pivots relative to the housing 4, around an axis 31
which passes through the opening 32 at the bottom of the side plate 6 of the housing 4. The other end of the locking cylinder
30 pivots about a shaft 33 in the lower part of
the loading platform 26.
For constructional reasons, the branches are 24 and
27 in double form. For the same reasons, the head of the lock cylinder 30, which pivots around the shaft 31, is fork-shaped, while the opposite end of the
the locking cylinder is single-piece.
The ends of the two lifting arms 18 facing away from the truck, which in the branches 24 and 27 just described. ends are connected to each other with a rod 34.
By the terms "lift cylinder" and "locking cylinder" is meant all of these mechanical parts, i.e. both the piston pliers and the pistons, as well as the actual cylinders themselves.
The mechanism described above, which therefore essentially contains two separate sets of two cylinders, has the object, as already stated in the preamble:
1. The possible adjustment of the loading platform at an angle to the horizontal plane and under such circumstances that when lowering or lifting
This loading platform remains unchanged at this angle, so that the loading platform can no longer tilt during these movements.
2. Tilting the loading platform at an angle when it touches the ground or the company floor and allowing this movement to take place in such a way that the part of the loading platform that has been rounded to that end and which is first with the ground or
<EMI ID = 2.1>
only performs a limited rotary movement so that wear
of this part of the loading platform is greatly reduced, is practically non-existent and the shop floor is also saved
Indeed, when referring now more specifically to Figures 2, 3 and 4, it should first of all be noted that the line r which is the pivot 17, named after the axis around which
the lifting arm 18 hinges relative to the rocking piece 10, with the hinge point 25, named after the cylindrical bearing on the branches 24, connecting and the axis of the locking cylinder 30 forming two parallel sides of a deformable parallelogram. The other two sides are formed by
the rights defined by pivot points 17 with 31 on the one hand, and
25 to 33 on the other.
It should be noted here that the hydraulic cycles of the lift cylinders 20 are completely independent of those of the lock cylinders 30.
Thus, the function of the lift cylinder 20 is limited only to the lifting and lowering of the loading platform. The so-called locking cylinders are used to adjust the angle,
<EMI ID = 3.1>
determine. If this angle, which depends on the loading conditions and does not necessarily lead to the horizontal setting of the loading platform, has been chosen, this angle remains unchanged during the entire rotation of the lifting arms 18. The
<EMI ID = 4.1>
distracted.
In Figure 2, the lift arms have the loading platform 26
brought to a certain height above the ground or company floor (line 46), but the horizontal position of the loading platform can already be set by the action of the tilt cylinders
30. Thus, by maneuvering the locking cylinders 30, the loading platform can be set at any angle, and by blocking the locking cylinders, the loading platform can be positioned at this angle.
If the lifting arms 18 are lowered further, by allowing the oil to flow back from the lifting cylinders 20 to the oil reservoir, the rounded section 35 will come to that end,
that is provided along the so-called rear of the loading platform
<EMI ID = 5.1>
Loading platforms usually have a greater thickness on the transverse edge, which is considered to be the rear, while the so-called "front" is thinner. Loading platforms have a wedge-shaped profile according to a vertical section that would run parallel to the lifting arms. If the loading platform is then tilted "forward" in the structures known so far, i.e. is brought into a position in which the platform is slightly inclined, this can only be done by a movement which results in a rapid wear of the lower thicker part of the loading platform. Indeed, this movement causes a more or less linear displacement of the said part of the loading platform along the ground
or the industrial floor by "writting" this part against
the ground, this part as well as the company floor is quickly damaged.
According to the invention this is remedied in that the mechanism provides the necessary means to convert the "linear" and wear-causing movement of the lower rounded portion 35 into a rotary movement whose center coincides approximately with the axis of the axis 33.
On contact with the ground or working floor of the section 35, at the end of the downward movement of the lifting arms 18, the operation of the lifting arms remains unchanged, so that the lifting cylinders "retracting", the swing piece
10 pull towards the open side of the housing 4, since the locking cylinders 30 remain blocked.
As the distance between the shafts 29 and 21 becomes shorter, the rocker 10 revolves about its shaft 11 and there, as already said, the locking cylinders remain immobile, the rocker is moved in the direction of arrow 36, while at the same time shaft 25 according to arrow 37 is moved.
Although this movement of the shaft 25 does not strictly follow an arc of a circle and the center around which this displacement develops does not coincide exactly with the axis of the shaft 33, in practice one can speak of a rotating movement of shaft 25 around shaft 33. In other words, it is thus possible to speak of a rotation of the loading platform 26 around the pivot axis of the locking cylinders.
To return the loading bridge at the height of the loading floor
from the truck, an operation in reverse of the lifting cylinders is sufficient. Tipping the loading platform during lifting or lowering it is no longer to be feared, as appears from the above description of the mechanism.
If one wishes to have a loading platform slidable under the truck, the cross beam 1 is welded to guide plates 38. These guide plates are provided at the top with a rectangular sleeve 39, internally equipped with sliding surfaces 40 of polytetrafluoroethylene, for example, which facilitate the sliding of the guide plates along the guide 41. The guides 41 run parallel to the longitudinal beams 2 of the chassis, at a distance therefrom which is determined by the width of the spacers 42. For sliding the cross beam 1 with the associated mechanism back and forth, there is a hydraulic cylinder 43 provided, the piston rod 44 of which is connected with two elbows 45 to the crossbar 1.
From the above description of the mechanism according to the invention it is also very clear that the whole formed by the folded loading platform
<EMI ID = 6.1>
With the accessories installed in a hinged manner, it has a particularly compact construction, so that obstacles that are common on trucks such as brake cylinders, torsion stabilizers, load-dependent valves on the brake circuit and the like. no more obstacles. The total installation height of the mechanism is also remarkably low, so that this mechanism is virtually
no matter how low it may be on the ground, all cars can be built.
Finally, it is clear that the invention is by no means limited to the above-described embodiment
and that many changes could be made to this without leaving the scope of the patent application.
