"Protective angle for plasterboard panels and
tool intended for the manufacture of this angle ".
The present invention relates to an angle
protection of salient angles formed by panels
of plasterboard intended to allow a better bonding
plaster. It also relates to the special tool with which it is possible to obtain high production speeds.
An angle iron produced according to the invention is characterized in that in the two wings of the strip, of which it is made, openings are formed which are cut into said strip and the plane of which is perpendicular to the surface of the wings.
A rotary tool according to the invention for the manufacture of said angles is characterized in that it consists of two sets of circular knives, knives which are of thickness equal to the width of the strips to be obtained and spaced apart from one another. other of the desired spacing between said straps.
According to the invention also, one set of knives is smooth and the other set is cut according to the shape of the broken cell.
In order to better understand the invention this is now defined in more detail on the basis of the accompanying drawings, by way of example only, showing by:
Figure 1 a perspective view of a section of a wing of an angle iron according to the invention; Figure 2 a section through an angle according to the invention protecting a projecting angle formed by the assembly of two plasterboard panels; Figures 3 and 4 respectively an elevation view and a partial plan view of the rotary tool for the manufacture of angles according to Figure 1 ..
The protective angle, made from a strip is made up of two wings 1, 2 in which openings 3 have been formed by knocking out, the plane of which is perpendicular to the surface of the wings and which are arranged uniformly, to equal distance from each other (Figure 1).
These openings 3, knocked out in the strip using special tools, allow the plaster 4 to cling firmly by forming "keys" under the raised part of the cells, as can be seen in FIG. 2 where the angle iron 1, 2 serves as protection for the salient angle formed by the connection of two plasterboard panels 5, 6.
The fixing of the angle iron to the panels can be carried out in various ways and it can, among other things, be done by knocking out, as is known, the wings
using a sharp tool, so that the broken strips penetrate the cardboard and the plaster during the operation, turning around so as to form claws.
To make the knockouts and therefore the straps, you can use a common press tool. However, in order to obtain higher production speeds, advantageously used according to the invention a rotary tool consisting of two sets of circular knives 7, 8 (Figures 3, 4). These knives have a thickness equal to the width of the strips to be obtained and they are spaced from each other by the desired spacing between the strips.
The knives on one of the sets, ie 7, must be smooth, while on the other set, ie the knives 8, are cut according to the shape of the cell to be obtained by knocking out.
There is thus shown in Figure 1 an advantageous presentation of an angle according to the invention, but of course, without departing from the scope of the invention, it is possible to modify the shape and dimensions of the cells or knockouts.
CLAIMS
