<EMI ID=1.1>
<EMI ID=2.1>
Conformément à l'invention, la composition renferme les éléments suivants, en % en poids ;
<EMI ID=3.1>
<EMI ID=4.1>
<EMI ID=5.1>
<EMI ID=6.1>

<EMI ID=8.1>
7000 à 20.000 cm<2>/g, préalablement traitée par de l'acide stéarique;
2) Du silicochromate ayant une teneur non supérieure à 0,2% en sels hydrosolubles et traité par des amines pour augmenter la stabilité de la composition;
1) du 2,6-diisobutyl-4-méthylphénol (ionol);

protective and decorative coatings, in particular of metal surfaces, and, more precisely, to a composition based on
<EMI ID = 1.1>
The aforementioned compositions are intended for the manufacture of basecoats, enamels, varnishes, etc., and can
be applied to a metal surface by spreading, by spraying, by electric precipitation (mainly by electric precipitation). '
It is known that the process of electric precipitation of water-soluble paints and varnishes makes it possible to obtain
a layer of 20 to 25 microns thick on electrically conductive structures. This thickness of the paint and varnish films
based on this compositions based on polyurethane, alkydo-epoxides, phenol-oleiforms, for example, aqualit L 40461 / M from the company Stoellack (Austria), based on polyesters, alkydo-melamines, comprising pigments, fillers , neutralizing agents,
stabilizers, solvents, does not provide properties
high protection for coatings obtained by electrical precipitation. The corrosion resistance of steel articles protected by a layer, applied by electrical precipitation:
in a 5% NaCl mist, does not exceed 200 hours. This is why, generally, the coating layer applied; by electric precipitation is covered with one or two coats of varnish or enamel applied by spraying, by
electrostatic process, etc. This makes it significantly more expensive
the process and nullifies all the advantages of a single-layer coating obtained by electrical precipitation.
The aim of the present invention is to remedy
to the aforementioned drawbacks.
In accordance with this aim, it has been proposed to modify
<EMI ID = 2.1>
a coating composition which would even make it possible to raise all the protective properties *.
The solution consists in developing a paint composition comprising a water-soluble polyurethane resin, pigments, neutralizing agents, fillers, stabilizers, solvents, the polyurethane resin containing, according to the invention, partially blocked isocyanate of the following formula:
R 'OOCHN-R' -NCO
where R 'represents an aryl, alkyl or alkylene residue, and
R "represents an aromatic, aliphatic, hydroaromatic or arylaliphatic radical.
In accordance with the invention, the composition contains the following elements, in% by weight;
<EMI ID = 3.1>
The water-soluble polyurethane resin is obtained by reacting a hydroxylated oligo-ester or an oligo-ether-urethane on a partially blocked isocyanate of the general formula
<EMI ID = 4.1>
where .R "represents an aryl, alkyl or alkylene residue, and
R "represents an aromatic, aliphatic, hydro-aromatic or arylaliphatic radical.
The water-soluble polyurethane resin can also be obtained by interaction between an oligo-ester-urethane and a mixture of partially blocked isocyanate mentioned above and of diisocyanate.
<EMI ID = 5.1>
condensation of polyatomic alcohols and polybasic acids modified with oils, fatty acids from oils and synthetic fatty acids.
For the synthesis of the resin, various vegetable oils can be used, in particular linseed, soybean, sunflower,
dehydrated castor, etc. Among the polyatomic alcohols, trimethylolpropane, glycerin, trimethylolethane, penta-erythritis, dipenta-erythritis,
sorbite, xylite, etc.
As the polybasic acid and its anhydride, phthalic, isophthalic, adipic, sebacic, succinic, maleic, etc. acids can be used. Among the isocyanates, 1-carbophenoxyaminohexyl-6-isocyanate, 4-carbophenoxyaminotolyl-2-isocyanate, l-carbobutoxyaminohexyl-6 -isocyanate, 4-carbobutoxyaminotolyl-2-isocyanate, 4-carbaminotyl-2-isocyanate, isocyanate, 6-carballyloxyaminohexyl-1-isocyanate, an interaction product of 2,4-toluylene diisocyanate or a mixture of isomers of 2,4- and 2,6-toluylene-diisocyanate with diallyl ester trimethylolpropane.
As "blocking" agents to obtain "blocked" isocyanates, any monofunctional alcohol, such as butyl, phenyl, propyl, isopropyl, ethyl, etc., a diallyl ester of trimethylol- can be used.
<EMI ID = 6.1>
glycerine.
The hardening of the polyurethane resin takes place.
<EMI ID = 7.1> thermal dissociation of the partially "blocked" isocyanate
<EMI ID = 8.1>
Isocyanate groups then formed react with the free hydroxyl groups to obtain crosslinked three-dimensional systems. Further, there is polymerization of the double bonds of the oligo-ester and polymerization and copolymerization of the double bonds of the blocking agent. These processes ensure high protective properties of the coating. It is preferable to apply the polyurethane resin by an electric precipitation process.
As pigments, we use
1) Aluminum powder with covering power of
7000 to 20,000 cm <2> / g, previously treated with stearic acid;
2) Silicochromate having a content of not more than 0.2% in water-soluble salts and treated with amines to increase the stability of the composition;
3) Red-brown iron oxide pigment.
As filler, titanium dioxide, microtalc, the particles of which have a size of 5 to 10 microns are used.
As solvents, solvents which are miscible with water in any proportion (alcohols, cellosolves) are generally used.
As stabilizers we use:
1) 2,6-diisobutyl-4-methylphenol (ionol);
2) higher alcohols comprising 6 to 10 atoms of C.
As agents. neutralizers, am-

etc), alkalis.
The application of the composition described above makes it possible to achieve high protective, decorative and physico-colloidal properties of the coatings.
Various variations of this composition are possible depending on its specific application. Thus, for example, for use as an enamel, a composition having the following elements (in% by weight) is taken:
1. Water soluble polyurethane resin containing isocyanate partially blocked in structure
<EMI ID = 10.1>
The advantages of this composition are the tents
