Abstract

Prodn. of imitation ceramic goods, by (a) applying to a resistant carrier of the same material and shape, an insulating layer which can be formed from a pore filler and forms an adhesive layer between the carrier and the plastic to be applied thereto, and in specific cases, neutralises natural resins present in the carrier; (b) after leaving the insulating layer to dry applying a thick layer of synthetic resin (c) forming in the resin layer a relief design and drying this layer and opt. sandpapering the design, (d) colouring the design, suitably by hand, and (e) applying and drying a scratch-free layer on the coloured design.
