Compsns contain (a) a tar which can react with an isocyanate and is obtd. by condensn. of the tar by-product of the hydroperoxide synthesis of phenols and opt in the presence of a basic catalyst and opt in the presence of a cpd: (where R is 1-8C alkyl, m is 0-2 and n is 1 or 2) and (b) a polyisocyanate. Compsns are cheaper than comparable products.
