Abstract

The contaminated waste is spray dried on a steam heated rotating drum within an evapn. chamber and the dried residue scraped off continuously so that it falls via a hopper into a second chamber in which it is mixed with hot bitumen for casting into solid, water insoluble blocks for burial etc.
