non limitatifs,
Dans cette description, on se réfère aux dessins ci- joints qui montrent : fig, 1 une vue en élévation d'une fenêtre à deux battants; fig. 2 une vue en plan en coupe à plus grande échelle de . cette fenêtre; fig. 3 une vue en élévation en coupe; fig. 4 une vue de détail en coupe horizontale du profilé solidaire de l'un des deux éléments de la fenêtre et des deux joints qui sont fixés sur ledit profilé; fig. 5 une vue de détail en coupe horizontale d'un joint double prévu dans un montant du bâti dormant ;
fig.
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
On voit fig.
On voit figs.

non-limiting,
In this description, reference is made to the accompanying drawings which show: FIG. 1 an elevational view of a two-leaf window; fig. 2 an enlarged sectional plan view of. this window; fig. 3 a sectional elevational view; fig. 4 a detail view in horizontal section of the section integral with one of the two elements of the window and of the two seals which are fixed to said section; fig. 5 a detail view in horizontal section of a double seal provided in an upright of the fixed frame;
fig. 6 a section corresponding to that of FIG. 5 with one of the window elements in the closed position; fig. 7 a detail view in vertical section showing a seal fixed to the upper cross member of the fixed frame. fig. 8, the vertical upright of a prefabricated frame. concrete qué, seen in horizontal section; rod 9, the upper horizontal rebate of the prefabricated frame, vertical sectional view; and freezes 10, the lower horizontal rebate of the prefabricated frame, viewed in vertical section.
As can be seen in particular in Fig. 1, the window shown by way of example comprises two elements 1 and 2 mounted by hinges 3 on a fixed frame comprising uprights 4-5 and upper 6 and interior 7 crossbars * Both elements 1 and 2 are in particular made of hardened ice. The fixed frame can itself be made of any suitable material, for example wood, metal or concrete. In fig. 2 we see in 8 the splay of the window and in 9 its water jet.
The two elements 1 and 2 do not have a frame.
Over the entire height of each of uprights 4 and 5 is
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
a rebate 10 in which is fixed, for example by gluing or by stapling, a seal 11 which is constituted by a tubular part 12 and by a part 13 comprising ribs 14-15. As shown in fig. 5, it is advantageous to give the rib 15 a height which is less than that of the rib 14.
The vertical seals 11 can be made of cellular chloroprene rubber.
When the elements of the window are in the closed position (fig. 6), the gaskets 11 provide sealing through their two rectangular faces. These seals work in simple contact with the part 13 comprising the ribs 14-15 and in compression on the tubular part 12.
Sealing at the upper part and at the lower part of the window is obtained by means of joints 16 fixed for example by gluing or stapling on the upper 6 and lower 7 cross members of the fixed frame. The seals 16, which may be of the same material as the vertical seals 11, have ribs 17 with which the edges of the movable elements of the window come into contact. These seals reject rainwater to the outside. ,
As visible in particular in figs.5 and 6, it is. advantageous that the crosspieces 6 and 7 are set back relative to the rabbets 10 so that the ends of the ribs of the joints 11 and 16 are substantially in the same plane.
On the vertical edge 2a of the mobile element 2 is fixed a profile 18, for example aluminum, this profile having two grooves 19 and 20 in which are fixed two joints 21 and 22 respectively. The joint 21 is intended to form a barrier against rainwater and the seal 22 provides support. element 1 on element 2. These gaskets can advantageously consist of superpolyamide bristles, preferably silicone ones.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
The profile 18 also forms a housing 23 extending over its entire height and in which the window closing mechanism is housed. This mechanism, actuated by a lever 24, command.deux latches 25 each cooperating with one! rack 26, the two racks being integral with one of the upper cross member 6 and the other of the lower cross member 7.
Depending on the teeth in which the latches engage, we obtain total closure or a determined ajar.
In the example shown, each mobile element rotates; on hinges 3 fixed on the one hand applied on the uprights of the frame and on the other hand on said elements by parts 27-28 integral with one another and bearing on the surface of these elements by means of strips 29 for example of chloroprene rubber embedded in said parts.
According to a variant, the frame of the hinge can be formed by a vertical strip, for example of aluminum, extending over the entire height of the window and masking all of the part of the uprights of the frame which is visible from the inside.
In order to allow the flow of water which may have penetrated under the lower seal 16, one or more conduits 30 are provided making the lower space 31 communicate with the outside, these conduits being formed in the water jet 9. .
We see fig. 8 that the vertical upright has at the bottom. of the rebate one element 2 ', for example of wood. On this element is fixed by gluing or nailing the seal 3 'to two rectangular bearing surfaces as described above.
We see figs. 9 and 10 that the upper and lower horizontal rabbets are provided respectively with a metal section 4 'and 5' sealed by casting in the frame. This section receives a plastic seal with ribs 6 ', as described above.
