¯P r,,o t nnc err s tr t6g calendriers muraux, lu? ngîi'ql,o:aont 823. e enteur ltuarred ..caendrier Inventeur ntred KUGEL) L'invention est relative à un calendrier mural,plue
EMI1.2
apdcinlomont 1 un calendrier éphéméride ou avec bloc à feuil- les détachables. Ces calendriers sont utilisée sur une grande échelle pour la réclame.A cet effet on imprima souvent les noms d ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

¯P r ,, o t nnc err s tr t6g wall calendars, lu? ngîi'ql, o: aont 823. e enteur ltuarred ..caendrier Inventor ntred KUGEL) The invention relates to a wall calendar, more
EMI1.2
apdcinlomont 1 an ephemeris calendar or with detachable sheet. These calendars are used on a large scale for advertising. For this purpose the names of;
companies or firms as well as other indications concerning the activity of these on the calendar.These im) pressures were generally made on the back wall or the support of the calendar that one extended up or down to be able to mark the desired indications in this narrow *
From the point of view of printing and because of the use of cartons, this constitution of calendars is often not advantageous.
The object of the invention is to arrange such calendars in such a way that they can be produced in a considerably simpler manner and at a cost of.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
less material and that they also have a high mechanical resistance.
The new calendar walled up more specifically the new ephemeris calendar, has the particularity that a cardboard strip, oriented downwards, which waits from the upper edge of the calendar block and is fixed to it by the clips of the said block, can be folded up around a straight line which was below the stapling points.
Advantageously, in accordance with the invention, the soft cardboard strip is provided with fold lines so that it can be easily folded upwards from the outside. The parts of the face of the strip which come s 'apply one on top of the other are, according to another arrangement forming the subject of the invention, provided with a layer of self-adhesive adhesive.
It is also advantageous to provide in the middle of the outer fold a slot for the paasape of a T-shaped suspension member. The face of the cardboard strip, which after folding is in front, can bear printed indications. *
By constituting the calendar in this way, the inconvenience is eliminated that the upper part of the calendar block must first be wrapped with a glued canvas or paper tape before the block thus prepared can be glued to the table. rear wall forming a calender support. In addition to this. Less manufacturing, we are in more favorable conditions from the point of view of printing, which seems obvious.
In practice, it has been observed that a relatively smaller size of the calendar block appears optically larger when viewed again because of the enlarged front band *
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The accompanying drawings show, by way of examples, several embodiments of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows, in perspective, the finished upper part of the cardboard strip which is to carry the calendar block but the front strip of which does not bear any printed indications.
Fig. 2 shows, in perspective, the cardboard strip with fold lines and indicates Consent it can be folded upwards.
Fig. 3 shows, similarly to Fig. 1, a similar calendar with a narrow front band and a reinforcing band behind which is placed a reinforcing ribbon.
Fig. 4 shows, similar to Fig. 3, the same calendar but for which the front band is folded down.
Fig. 5 shows, similar to Fig. 1, a calendar with continuous rear wall folded over it-marl to form the front band for use.
Fig. 6 shows, similar to Fig. 2, how the rear wall is folded back to form the calendar of Fig. 5.
Fig.7 shows, in perspective, a variant of the calendar of Fig.5, but with a shortened rear wall.
Fig, 8 shows, similarly, another variant of the calendar in question.
A few calendars established in accordance with the invention as well as their manufacturing method are described below in more detail.
On the wall calendar, which for the examples watches is an ephemeris calendar formed by back detachable sheets will read together in the form of a block, fixed nearby
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
the upper edge of the latter by the staples * 3 a cardboard band 4 facing downwards. This band 4 can be folded upwards, below the staples 3 around the fold lines 5 and 6.By this folding, the 8 surfaces 7 and 7a, as well as 8 and 8a the front face of the strip,
come to stick to each other and with this offet we cover the surfaces? and 8 with a self-adhesive adhesive. In the middle of the outer ply 6 is provided a slot 9 for the passage of a suspension member 10 in the form of T.
The result of the folding is shown in fig.l. At the same time, the facing face 11 of the cardboard strip can be used to receive printed indications.
For the embodiment of fig. 3 and 4, we find the constituent elements 1 to 5 and 10 in fig. 4. The difference between the calendar of fig. 3 and 4 and that of fig.let 2 lies in the fact that the cardoon 4 carries a reinforcing band 12 which replaces the parts 6, Sa of fig.1 and 2. It can be seen in fig.3 that the edge 13 of the tape d ,. reinforcement 12 is placed on the adjacent upper edge of block 1 of the calendar.
The cardboard strip 4 of fig. 1 and 2 can also be used without adhesives 7 and 8. Experience shows that the weight of calendar 1, when suspended from organ 10, maintains folds 5 and 6 in their flattened form in which the edges of each fold are applied on top of each other! in their initial position in which each fold is @ clearly marked.
The part 8a of the strip, when used without glue, can, compared to the strip 4 of figs. 1 and 2, be widened or lengthened in such a way that these surfaces having approximately the same width overlap and that the lower part of the surface 8a comes to rest on the stapled cardboard strip 4.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
For all embodiments the rear wall or calendar support can be formed in a continuous manner.
An example, constituting a variant of the device of FIGS. 1 and 2, is shown in fig. 5 in its final form and in FIG. 6 during its manufacture. This rear wall can also be shortened as shown in fig.7.
In all cases, the reinforcement strip can be made up of one or more parts which may or may not be made integral with the rear wall. It is therefore possible to use waste or scrap cardboard for the implementation of the invention.
The reinforcement according to fig. 8 consists of a single cardboard strip 14 with an elongated notch 15 but without stapling. This strip can receive all the desired prints and can, for transport, be placed freely on the calendar 1.
For use, the folded part of the calendar is tightly engaged in this elongated notch 15, this calendar being able to be turned over after six months.
The cardboard strips 1 to 4 and 11, used according to the invention, can be printed several at a time by a single pass through the printing machine, after which the final strips are cut off one after the other by cutting. punch, whereas until now the support boxes had to be printed individually at their upper part only, and the remaining part of the box, which bears no printing and comes to be placed behind the sheet block detachable, was also obliged to pass through the machine.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
Experience shows that these wall calendars are requested by customers with different formats, among which there are formats for which the shipping costs are unfavorable. The object of the invention has the advantage that, for the When sending, the front band does not need to be folded upwards, but rests on the top sheet of the calendar pad, so that for sending by post there is a small format. It is then sufficient for the customer, upon receipt, to fold the front strip upwards to form the aforementioned folds and obtain adhesion, which reveals the printed side of the strip.
The new calendar therefore has the advantage that it can be shaped in different ways and that its printing and manufacturing are made more advantageous.
