   L'objet de la présente invention consiste en un support-pince en caoutchouc ou en toute autre matière souple adéquats, destiné à remplacer les doigts, qui lorsqu'on commence à enfoncer un   clou,   doivent'obliga- toirement le tenir jusqu'à ce que quelques coups de marteau l'aietdéjà plus ou moins fixé, c'est toujours à ce moment critique que l'on se frappe les les doigts surtout si les clous sont petits, le support-pince serrant et maintenant fermement le clou écarte tout danger de se blesser. 



   La fig. I montre en plan un mode constructif en forme de disque 1 de l'invention, il comporte, fixés autour de sa circonférence, des supports 2, dont la caractéristique principale est d'avoir soit à leurs centres ou à tous autres endroits choisis de leur surface horizontale un trou 3 les traversant de part en part et dont le diamètre varie suivant la grosseur du clou, qui doit pouvoir y entrer librement tout en étant fermement maintenu, ce trou se prolonge par une fente   latéràle 4   jusqu'à la périphérie du support et sur toute son épaisseur.

   La fig. II montre en élévation un disque tel que décrit ci-dessus, monté sur un manche 5 au moyen d'un axe ou pivot lui permettant de tourner et d'amener à l'endroit le plus éloigné du manche le support-pince sélectionné. 



   La fig. III montre en plan et la fig. IV en vue latérale un modèle en forme de manche ayant sur sa longueur différentes épaisseurw suivant la longueur des clous à y maintenir, et comportant les trous 3 et leurs fentes latérales 4 , facul- tativement, il peut comporter sur sa longueur des graduations. 



  Le fonctionnement de l'appareil est le suivant. Choisissez d'après la longueur et la grosseur du clou, crampon, etc. à employer, le support qui lui convient le mieux, enfoncez-le à la main dans le trou 3 jusqu'à ce que sa pointe affleure la surface inférieure du support, placez la pointe à l'endroit où le clou doit être enfoncé, et tenant l'appareil à l'endroit le   plus éloigné du support employé, frappez ; vous ratez le   clou, le marteau rebondira sur le caoutchouc du support sant   vous blesser et sans abîmer les pièces à clouer ; vous avez   frappé dessus, il sera pré-fixé dans la pièce, pour dégager alors le support, opérez une traction permettant aux   lèvres   de la fente 4 de s'ouvrir, le clou en sortira et vous l'enfon- cerez ensuite à fond. 



   REVENDICATIONS 1. Malche souple rectangulaire ou de toutes autres formes   pouvar   se plier à différents   angles,et   dont la surface comporte différentes épaisseurs formant pince-support avec trou et fente latérale.
