Il est connu de conserver des chemises, des relieurs rapides, ou objets analogues suspendus en ce qu'on appelle un classeur à suspension, les chemises présentant alors un évidement marginal qui est pourvu d'un nez porteur, d'un crochet ou élément analogue (respectivement de deux de ces prganes) pour appuyer la chemise sur un rail porteur
En utilisant des chemises dont 1'évidement ne porte qu'un nez porteur, le rail porteur consiste en un rail métallique dont la section transversale est en forme de C, la branche inférieure plus longue ayant une inclinaison vers le haut pour assurer le maintien de la chemise.

Cette suspension oblique sert seulement comme placement passager de la chemise pour indiçuer l'endroit où une chemise voisine a été retirée du classeur afin de n'avoir pas besoin de chercher la place lui assignée lors du rangement de la chemise voisine. Une suspension cssurée de la chemise sur le rail porteur en une position intermédiaire oblique pour marquer qu'une chemise voisine e été retirée est rendue possible par le dispositif de suspension suivant la présente invention .
