Sur ce dessin ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

The object of the present invention is the new industrial product which constitutes a device intended to prevent the theft of pumps of cycles, mopeds, motorcycles or other similar locomotion devices.
This anti-theft device consists essentially in the combination, with a spike support of known type, to be fixed on the frame of the bicycle or similar vehicle, - where it serves as a support for one end of the pump, - of a movable antagonist member constituted by a tailstock forming an integral part of a key incorporated in a locking device making it possible to block said movable member and to immobilize the pump placed between said point and tailstock.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the solid-state key of the abovementioned tailstock is a toothed flat key to which it is possible to print, in two opposite directions, a rectilinear displacement of travel. determined between the walls of a slide made in a part which is threaded a series of numbered movable washers, notched according to the toothing of the key and cooperating with fixed washers, also notched, organized so as to constitute kill with the previous washers, a sort of multiple combination padlock.
The assembly consisting of this padlock and its tailstock key which forms an integral part thereof, is mounted in a yoke fixed to the frame of the bicycle or other vehicle, facing the aforementioned fixed point support and to a distance from it corresponding to the length of the pump to be secured and locked. When the movable washers of the padlock are placed in the unlocking position of the counter-point key, the latter can be moved in its slide to allow removal of the pump or its installation followed by locking. by simply scrambling the numbers of the mobile washers.
In order to better understand the object of the invention, we will now describe, by way of illustration and without any limiting nature, an embodiment, taken as an example and shown in the appended drawing.
On this drawing ;
FIG. 1 is an exploded view showing separately the constituent elements of the anti-theft device.
Figure 2 is a view in axial section.
Figure 3 is a perspective view showing the device in place on a bicycle frame with a pump locked between its tips.
Referring to the drawing, it can be seen that the device support has been designated by 1. This support is intended to be fixed by welding or any other means on the frame of the bicycle or other vehicle. It is provided with two tabs 2 and 3 forming a yoke each pierced with an orifice. The hole in leg 2 is designated 4, while that in leg 3 is designated 6.
The movable washers of the combination device are designated by 7. They have a notch 8 opening into their bore and are numbered from 0 to 9 on their periphery. Between these washers are inserted fixed washers 9 comprising a lug 9a, a notch 9b and a mark 9c. The assembly is held tight, with gentle friction, against a support washer 7c, by means of a pin 10 passing through the washers

stacked (figure 2). This pin has, at one end, a flange 11 engaged in the aforementioned orifice 4 and, at its other end, a necked portion 12 engaged in the orifice 6 of the tab 3. The pin 10 is retained. - bare by matting or by means of a pin 15 driven into a hole 16 drilled in the necked part 12, and resting on a washer 14.
Said axis is prevented from rotating thanks to two flats: one 11a provided on its edge 11; the other 4b arranged around the periphery of the orifice 4.
In the axis 10 is made, along a diametral plane, a groove 17 which receives the lugs 9a of the aforementioned washers 9 and an open-end wrench 18 provided, on the one hand, with teeth 19 cooperating with the notches 8 and 9b. and, on the other hand, a heel 20 cooperating with a notch 5.
The key 18 is held captive in the guide groove 17 by means of a pin 21 driven into a hole 22 drilled in the axis 10 and passing freely through a window 23 formed in said key, the latter being provided with its outer end, of a tailstock 24 intended to be fitted to one end of the pump 26, the other end of which bears on a point 25 fixed to the frame of the cycle or similar vehicle (FIG. 3).
EMI2.1
When the shocks 8 'of! J'0Í1dë: hles "m bi1es 7 are aligned with those 9b of the fixed washers 9, the teeth 19 no longer being in engagement with the washers 9, the tailstock wrench 18-24 can be lifted to allow the pump 26 to be positioned in the usual manner.
To close the padlock, it is then sufficient to lower the tailstock key 18-24 and to scramble the numbers of the washers 7 as is usually done with the combination padlocks of known type. The tailstock 24, the heel 20 of which is engaged in the notch 5, is thus immobilized and prevents the pump from being removed. To release the latter, it suffices to replace the digits of the code opposite the markings 9c and the tailstock key can be lifted, thus freeing the pump.
It is understood that the embodiment described above is in no way limiting and may be subject to any desirable modifications, without thereby departing from the scope of the invention.
