On a déjà proposé une telle combinaison dans laquelle l'en- tonnoir filtrant constitue un prolongement évasé du col du récipient destiné à recevoir le filtrat, tout en formant le bec verseur. Ce genre de pot à filtre combiné présente ce- pendant des inconvénients importants qui rendent très dif- ficile son introduction pour la préparation d'infusions aussi bien dans l'industrie chimique que notamment dans les ménages. Ces inconvénients proviennent du fait que cet en- tonnoir filtrant a la forme d'un filtre pointu, de sorte qu'il présente également tous les inconvénients du filtre pointu, tels qu'une mauvaise répartition des matières à ex- traire, une faible vitesse de filtration etc... Pour assurer une durée de filtration admissible, les parois latérales doivent former un angle inférieur à 60 .
