REVENDICATIONS.
1[deg.]) Douille de munition en matière plastique caractérisée

Plastic ammunition cases have a bead that limits the penetration of the case into the barrel of the weapon.
Due to the limited strength of plastics these sockets have various disadvantages
1 [deg.]) Under the impact of the firing pin, the bead of the sleeve risks being knocked down on the bezel and the cartridge sinks into the chamber.
2 [deg.]) The extractor of the like which is supported on the bead of the casing to extract the casing from the barrel, risks tearing this bead, and the fired cartridge remains in the barrel of the weapon.
3 [deg.]) In automatic weapons comprising a magazine in which the cartridges are placed end to end, following a line subjected at one end to the action of a spring, and resting at the other end on a finger stopper, the stop of the bead of the cartridges against this retaining finger risks damaging this bead under the effect of the violent impact of the

The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks.
It relates to a plastic ammunition case characterized in that its bead is coated after molding of this plastic with a metal foil, which reinforces this bead and prevents its deformation during the firing loading and ejection operations. .
According to a characteristic of the invention, the coating

bearing against the rear face of the socket and a part enveloping the bead of this snug and coming from the cylindrical skirt of the initial annular element.
The invention also extends to a process for coating a plastic sleeve with a metal foil, characterized in that an annular element is engaged on the base of the sleeve according to the previous paragraph, the assembly is thus placed. formed on a lower press plate on which the flat annular transverse wall of this element rests, the skirt of the annular element is closed on the bead of the sleeve.
a) by means of a sleeve surrounding the sleeve and having an internal chamfer. b) by means of a wheel rotating around the assembly.
The invention also extends to the characteristics described below and to their various possible combinations.

shown, by way of example, in the attached drawing, in which:
- Figure 1 est.a view in axial section of a plastic sleeve
- Figure 2 is a sectional view of a metal ring for the previous socket.
- Figure 3 is an axial sectional view of the sleeve during the crimping operation.
- Figures 4 and 5 are two views in axial section of the reinforced sleeve.
According to the invention, first of all is formed by injection into
mold, a plastic sleeve 1 (fig. 1) which has an outer bead 3 at the rear.
On the other hand, for example by stamping, a
metal ring 2 having an annular transverse wall 21 and a

After this operation, the socket is present only on its
bead 3 a metallic coating 2.
It is also possible to fold down the metal element
on the inclined part of the bead using rotating wheels 7 or
any other mechanical process (fig. 5).
This socket has "the following technical advantages:
1 [deg.]) While having the lightness of a plastic sleeve, it has a very resistant bead.
2 [deg.]) The metallic coating of this bead prevents:
a) that the sleeve is inserted into the barrel under the effect of the per-. cutter. b) that the bead is deformed against the retaining finger, in the case of an automatic rifle. c) to prevent the bead from being torn by the action of the ejector.
